Situated on the bank of the Huong River, on Ha Khe hill covered by thick trees, the breeze cool seasons, from the center of Hue City about 5km to the west, Thien Mu Pagoda is located on a romantic land which has been the inspiration of many poets and artists.

From the bank of Huong River looking to the temple, visitors will see Phuoc Duyen Tower in the center of the yard, right in the front entrance, majesty reaching skyward. The tower was built by King Thieu Tri in 1844 in 21 meters high with octagonal shape including 7 floors. Each floor has placed inside statues.

Beyond Dien Phuoc Duyen Tower is Dai Hung Palace – the main palace in the temple. It is a structure preserved intact despite experiencing many historical events. The beauty of Dai Hung is ancient, majestic and magnificent. Around the temple is the lush, floral gardens which are green and daily cared.
Looking from the temple, we can see the gentle Huong River between the chasms vast sky. The boats dock under gentle landings, waiting for guests who are visiting the temple. Pine trees with three leaves of exotic tropical origin always radiate a fresh green space, covering the loose ball into the temple courtyard. Visiting the temple, you will forget the tires, hot temperature and long distance… People will feel peaceful, comfortable and relaxed.
All have increased the appeal of the oldest temple which the most beautiful of Hue. It has been put on the list of 20 most amazing landscapes in Vietnam where you definitely visit when travelling to Hue.
